Obituary for Irma Hernandez Vasquez

Irma Hernandez Vasquez, age 74 of San Antonio, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020. She was born to Carlota and Arnulfo Hernandez on August 8, 1945.

Irma was raised in San Antonio, Texas. At a young age, she helped her family as a migrant farm worker. She then married Rogelio Vasquez, and moved her growing family to Phoenix, Arizona. Irma and Rogelio raised their children in a fun, hardworking, and loving household. Irma was fun-loving, charismatic, and always had a beautiful smile on her face. She loved staying active, fishing, and casinos. Irma is a beautiful soul, and her every action embodied unconditional love and strength.

Irma Hernandez Vasquez leaves to cherish her loving memory two sisters: Olga Olivarez, Janie Chavez; four brothers: Cruz, Adolfo, Reynaldo, and Antonio Hernandez; four sons: Rogelio Vasquez Jr., Demetrio Vasquez, Antonio Vasquez, and Fabian Martinez; five granddaughters: AnaMarie Sherman, Esmeralda Vasquez de Galaviz, Brianna Johnson, Elizabeth Vasquez, and Sara Vasquez; seven grandsons: Christopher Sherman, Miguel Angel Vasquez, Rogelio Vasquez III, Jaime Vasquez, Khalidd Johnson, Fabian Vasquez Jr, Joell Vasquez; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
