Obituary for Terence Anthony Hallows

Terence Anthony Hallows of Arizona City, AZ, passed away in the early morning hours on October 10, 2019, after a courageous, year-long battle with cancer.

Terry, as he was known, was born in Chicago, IL to Kenneth and Isabelle; the 5th of 10 children. Terry enlisted in the Air Force and served faithfully and honorably for 16 years as an Avionics Systems Maintenance Technician. His service included assignments to Beale Air Force Base, CA; Ubon Air Base Thailand; Kunsan Air Base, South Korea; and Clark Air Base, Philippines. During his assignment to Ubon Air Base, Thailand, he met the love of his life, Rumpai. They married and raised 4 children together.

After his service to his country, Terry went on to work for Lockheed Martin as a Field Service Engineer with assignments to Fort Hood, TX; Fort Eustis, VA; Falcon Field, AZ; Marana Air Field, AZ; and Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates.
Terry retired from Lockheed after 26 years of expert and dedicated support to the United States Army, Singapore Air Force, and the United Arab Emirates Air Force.

In retirement, Terry enjoyed camping, traveling in his RV, exercising his second amendment right, piloting his drones, taking photographs, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Those who knew Terry would say he was a quiet, yet confident man.

His words, while few and measured, carried immense weight with the thoughtfulness, knowledge, and experience he possessed. He will be missed. Terry is preceded in death by his loving wife, Rumpai; his parents, Kenneth and Isabelle; and his 2 brothers, Rusty and John. He is survived by his 4 children, Hattaya (Tony), Rebecca (Mark), Terence (Christina), and Tommy (Dawn); his 14 grandchildren, Devan, Isabella, Brandon, Alex, Sophia, Gavin, Zoey, Ethan, Makai, Kyle, Ava, Alaina, Hadley and Holden; 7 siblings and their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 17, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Glendale, AZ at 2:00 pm. Family and friends will gather afterwards to remember and celebrate Terry’s life.

In remembrance of Terry, please make donations to the US Department of Veteran Affairs at or the Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association (ECAA) At
